Győr-Moson-Sopron County is located in the North-West of Hungary, and includes areas of the Little Hungarian Plain (Kisalföld), the “Feet of the Alps” (Alpoklalja) and the bottom of the Bakony Mountains (Bakonyalja). It covers an area of 4.209 km2, with a population of 450,000. There are 171 localities and 12 towns in the territory of the county, including Győr and Sopron, which comprise a County authority.
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry for Gyor-Moson-Sopron County has a history of more than 120 years; its members represent the elds of industry, services commerce and crafts.
The role of the chambers is to help their members, the actors of the business sphere, through the improvement of entrepreneurial environment, economic analyses and forecasts, the coordination of vocational training, suggestions, building credible, authentic business relationships and providing consultation in legal, taxation, IPR and other matters.
Publication of the Hungarian Central Statistical Office titled Statistical Yearbook of Hungary, 2014 presents the socio-economic trends in Hungary and the main characteristics of environment in 623 tables. Changes in major trends are illustrated by colour charts, the interactive version of which is available on HCSO website.
A European Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) Platform has been put in place by the European Commission from 9 January 2016. The Platform is intended to be used by online shops and consumers for settling their disputes. The ODR Platform aims to provide a simpler, faster, more efficient and cheaper solution for the settlement of cross-border consumer disputes in the European Union.
